Full Bio
Laura Krider is an arts consultant and singer who lives for making creative projects happen through collaborative artist/creator support and consulting. She geeks out on organization and systems, approaches all of her work through the frame of equity and access and believes in the uniqueness of every relationship.
Laura works with composers and publishers including Alex Shapiro, Gerald Cohen, Jocelyn Hagen, Dale Trumbore, PaviElle French, and Graphite Publishing as they navigate a professional creative life in the arts, publishing, and community sectors. Before dedicating herself full time to this work, Laura spent eight years working at the American Composers Forum where she served as Director of Operations and Special Projects focusing on youth programs, artist services, composer residencies, and internal administration/communications. Her arts administration work formalized at the University of MN – Twin Cities School of Music where she served as Graduate Student Services Assistant and Public Engagement Coordinator.
In service to the field, Laura also serves on the board of the Schubert Club and acts as the Repertoire and Resource Chair for MN Composers with the ACDA of MN. As a singer, Laura frequently work with living composers and performs with ensembles including First Readings Project, Border CrosSing, MN Beethoven Festival, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and others. She was also a founding member and multi-year Alto Section Leader of The Singers: MN Choral Artists.
Laura received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education at the UMN in 2005 and after moving into arts management, she earned a Master of Professional Studies degree in Arts and Cultural Leadership from the UMN in 2012.
